Associate Professor George Chalkiadis is a specialist paediatric and adult anaesthetist and pain medicine physician who works at the Royal Children’s Hospital, St Vincent’s (East Melbourne), Cabrini and The Avenue Private Hospitals.
George was President of the Society for Paediatric Anaesthesia in New Zealand and Australia and has served on the Executive Committee since 2003.
He is the Head of the Children’s Pain Management Service at the Royal Children’s Hospital that provides acute (postoperative) and chronic pain management for children and adolescents. He is actively involved in clinical research much of which is published in medical journals. He is a reviewer for several leading anaesthesia journals and has written several book chapters in paediatric anaesthesia textbooks.
